Nissan North America and NASA Ames Research Center have agreed to collaborate on research and technology for autonomous mobility services. This is a five-years research and development agreement from Nissan Research Center and NASA Ames to advance the autonomous vehicle systems. Introduced as Nissan Seamless Autonomous Mobility (SAM), a platform for managing fleets of autonomous vehicles developed from NASA technology.

When these challenges or recorded knowledge is absorbed into the system, vehicles can use it to solve complete new challenges.
